I found out this morning the Ken went to a local casino last night to try his luck at blackjack. He left after i went to bed and I didn’t hear him come back either. The dogs didn’t hear him either, which is unusual. He got back around 4:30am and was quiet when he came in. He told me he had been ahead during much of the night, but then started losing, so he quit and broke even. I had planned on going to Bermuda Dunes, but decided not to go until tomorrow. I spent most of the day hanging pictures, putting things away, and just trying to find items I needed. I was able to varnish/restore the cabinet I’m working on and it looks really nice already. Ken and I went to the Bella Vita Italian restaurant for dinner. Neither of us had been there before, and the food was very good. When we got back, Ken went to bed since he had stayed up almost the entire before. The dogs woke up around 2:30am and started barking. I thought he had gone out again and was just getting back, but in the morning Ken said no, he slept the entire night and did not go to the casino.

ken and I went to the Bermuda Dunes house to get rid of the unused wood in the back yard. Some of this wood I plan to keep to make shelves, etc. We worked out there about an hour, loading the truck with some items. Ken then left for the L.A. area and I stayed behind pulling weeds in the back yard. There are a lot of weeds that grow, well, like weeds. I pulled about half of them and put them in the trash for Tuesday’s pickup. I then worked in the house, loading some items in the truck. while I was working in the garage, Jack opened the back door and all three dogs ran out. Jack and Bandit came back, but Peaches made a run for it. I put the dogs in the truck and took out after the run-away. She was about a block and a half up the street just enjoying herself. Fortunately, she came back as soon as I got close and called to her. I decided it was time to go home so I kept the dogs in the truck while I added a few items in the truck, then locked up and headed back. When I got back home, I continued hanging shelves, etc.
